Mary A. (Urban) Blessing, 85 formerly of Suder Ave., Toledo, OH, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, in Kingston Residence, Sylvania, OH.  Born March 29, 1928, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Beatrice (Schaefer) Urban. She married William Blessing on June 19, 1948 in Toledo, OH.  He preceded her in death on February 18, 2012.  Mary had attended Chautauqua Music Conservatory in Chautauqua, NY. She worked for the Toledo Council of Churches and retired as the cafeteria manager for Washington Local Schools serving over 20 years.   She was active in Alexis Congregational Church and Wesley United Methodist Church, where she played the organ and piano and implemented a junior church program with her mother.   Mary was a member of the O.E.S, #23, Palestine Chapter and Gideons Auxillary, East Camp.

She is survived by her Children, Becky (Terry) Brocus, Kathryn  MacDonald and William (Debra) Blessing, Jr.  Sisters, Doris Morris,  Shirley (William) Bartkavage, Jean (Bob) Baker and Martha (William) Strayer and Brother-in-law, James Derrick as well as 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law, Gregory MacDonald. Sister, Joan Derrick, brother-in-law, Jay Morris and grandson, Craig Baer.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am-2:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm.
